Dress For Success Atlanta – One Million Ten Million Project Recipient

Episode 22: Dress For Success Atlanta - One Million Ten Million Project Recipient

Pamela Owunta, MSW, is the Director of Dress For Success Atlanta, a local branch of the international not-for-profit organization Dress for Success. This organization has been helping women in 150 cities across 30 countries. Through their programs, coaching and mentoring opportunities, including their personal branding experience, they have helped over a million women to reach their professional goals.

They encourage women who are unemployed or underemployed to tap into their resources, which builds self-confidence and enables them to secure long-term employment. Once they have found that employment, Dress For Success Atlanta continues to support them through ongoing professional development through workshops, courses and additional resources so they can retain that employment and reach their career goals.

Services provided:

  • Job Readiness Program – a nine-week job-ready bootcamp.
  • Suiting Program – Women receive the professional attire they need for the workplace, which includes clothing, jewelry, footwear and accessories.
  • Professional Woman’s Group: Employment retention program through a network of support.

Thank you to Deborah Hightower for choosing Dressed for Success Atlanta as her recipient in the One Million Ten Million Project, and for being such a generous supporter of their local work and programs.
