MISSION/GOAL:
Helping With Furniture provides gently used furniture and household items to people in need in Ottawa.
HWF has been helping newcomers to Canada, mainly refugees. With the shifts in the Ottawa community, they now also assist people who are fleeing from domestic violence, relocating after house fires, struggling with mental illness or at risk of homelessness.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
For Give #3, Pierrette from 1-800-GOT-JUNK? (Ottawa) donated furniture and household items to help support the charity.
Each month, we will share the local organization that we are supporting. Whether it’s a food bank, shelter, educational program, or environmental initiative, together we will collectively give where we live to lend a helping hand and make a lasting impact.
