ONE GIVE. ONE MONTH AT A TIME.
MISSION/GOAL:
With over a decade in working for outreach centres within Ottawa, Shawna Thibodeau founded Shawna’s Outreach in 2019 when she began to see the effects of COVID-19 on Ottawa’s at-risk populations.
Her mission and goal is to get food to hungry people and to provide supplies needed to the homeless.
She runs the outreach out of her home. She relies on donations to run it and stores all of the items in her home before sorting them and delivering them to clients by car.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
For Give #4, Pierrette contributed funds to help with the outreach program. The funds helped purchase Tim’s gift cards and much needed ziplock bags to help make the outreach bags to handout.
Each month, we will share the local organization that we are supporting. Whether it’s a food bank, shelter, educational program, or environmental initiative, together we will collectively give where we live to lend a helping hand and make a lasting impact.
