ONE GIVE. ONE MONTH AT A TIME.
MISSION:
Through a nation-wide collective effort of volunteers, quilters from across Canada craft full-sized blankets that are sent to survivors of the Residential School System and survivors of
other trauma. These quilts are a symbol of support, respect and love.
GOALS:
The goal is to reach as many survivors of trauma as possible with hand crafted quality quilts for each recipient.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
Through the initiative’s second Give of the year, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? (Ottawa) owner Pierrette Raymond made a monetary contribution to help support Quilts for Survivors.
Each month, we will share the local organization that we are supporting. Whether it’s a food bank, shelter, educational program, or environmental initiative, together we will collectively give where we live to lend a helping hand and make a lasting impact.
Our communities thrive when we come together to support one another. By participating in “A Year to Give, Where We Live,” you’re not just giving back – you’re building a stronger, more resilient community where you live.
Join us in spreading love, hope, and compassion throughout our communities. Together, let’s make a difference, one Give, one month at a time, where we live.
