Time for a Fresh Start

Every Spring, especially at Easter, it feels like a time of new beginnings, of rebirth, and of renewal. It’s a time to let go of all that winter brought with its heaviness of cold and dreary days, and a time to look forward to lighter times of sunshine and warmth. Do you feel the same? Do you feel the sense of renewal and rebirth too?

I also look forward to this time as a time to let go to move forward, as a time to shed things we no longer need, use or want, like clothes that don’t fit, habits that don’t serve us, and feelings that have kept us stuck. We know that in shedding the old we will feel better. We feel lighter. We feel free.

Despite us knowing that it’s time to rejuvenate and feel the lightness of Spring, I also know that many face having to make difficult decisions as they are experiencing challenging times. You may be at a crossroad in your life. You may be caregiving for a loved one and it’s causing incredible strain on you and your life. You may be living under the weight of incredible loss and you’re not sure how to find your way.

When we are facing loss and having to make difficult decisions, we can find ourselves overwhelmed, exhausted, frustrated, angry and desperate too. Know that it’s normal and it’s important that you be gentle on yourself.

Remind yourself that you can rise up, you can move forward, you can rebirth into who you know you are meant to be. Take a moment to stop and appreciate all that you have gone through and then, take another moment to give yourself… Click To Tweet

Let go of the pain.

Let go of the anger.

Let go of the sadness.

Let go of the resentment.

And as you let go, allow in:

Love

Compassion

Self-care

Kindness

Hope

Forgiveness

It’s a time to celebrate Spring, renewal, rebirth and rejuvenation. What can you do this week to do just that?
