Episode 29: Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa
Colleen Mooney is the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. Colleen oversees all operations that include after school, evening, weekend and summer programming for children and youth ages 6-18 living in vulnerable and at risk neighbourhoods.
Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa has been serving the community since 1923. The organization is built on these four pillars:
- Education – Homework Club, Tutoring, Scholarships for post-secondary, mentoring.
- Physical Activity and healthy Lifestyle – Free competitive sports league.
- Creative Arts programs – Signing, Dancing, Art.
- Leadership – Leaders For Life Program
